After reviewing almost 50 chatbot builders, I can tell you one thing:
There is no best chatbot builder.
Each chatbot builder has its pros and cons. While some focus on marketing, others focus on customer service.
And while some focus only on Facebook and Instagram, others take a more omnichannel approach.
So there is not one best chatbot builder, there is only a “best for your needs”.
In this post, I will tell you about the top 10 chatbot builders of 2021 (without coding), together with their pros and cons.
Let’s dive in!
Table of Contents
ManyChat
ManyChat is the most popular chatbot builder out there. And it is also one of the best chatbot builders.
They have one of the best visual flow builders because it is so easy to use. With their flow builder, you can set up a chatbot in a matter of minutes, without having to code a single line.
With ManyChat, you can create a chatbot on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Website, SMS (only in the US and Canada) and even send email marketing campaigns.

Xenioo
Xenioo is a less popular chatbot builder but has really good features.
Just like ManyChat, they also provide a visual flow builder that allows you to create a chatbot without writing a single line of code.
But I think the best part of Xenioo is the flexibility.
Using Xenioo, you can put your chatbot on 12 channels: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Website, Telegram, SMS, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Phone Voice, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
And that’s not all! For example, with WhatsApp, you can choose between 12 WhatsApp Business Providers to connect with. I don’t think there is more flexibility with any other chatbot builder.
Pros
- Easy-to-use visual flow builder
- Many advanced chatbot elements
- You can add custom fields and tags
- Advanced AI & NLP
- Put your chatbot on 12 different channels
- Native website widget

Chatfuel
Just like ManyChat, is Chatfuel one of the most popular chatbot builders for Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
With their chatbot builder, you can create a chatbot on Facebook Messenger, Instagram and your website.

Also, what I really like about Chatfuel is their analytics, which allows you to easily improve your chatbot.

MobileMonkey
With MobileMonkey, you can create a chatbot on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, your website and SMS (only the US and Canada).
What I also really like about MobileMonkey is their OmniChat widget. The OmniChat widget is a widget that automatically detects if the user is logged in at Facebook. When the user is logged in, a Facebook Messenger widget will appear on your website. But when the user is not logged in, the OmniChat Widget will automatically change to a native website widget. Really useful feature!
Pros
- An easy-to-use interface in which you can make a chatbot without a single line of code
- Many chatbot elements you can use to build your chatbot
- Assign tags & attributes to users and segment them based on those two
- Easy to attract users by using their Growth Tools
- Advanced website widget: widget in your own corporate identity and you can send messages based on the page the user is on
- They support multiple channels: Facebook Messenger, website and SMS
- Built-in live chat integration and integration with Zapier

Cons
- No AI built-in the software
- They had problems with implementing the new Facebook policy (their CEO’s chatbot got blocked by Facebook)
- No eCommerce integrations
Pricing: Mobile Monkey provides a free plan up to 1000 sent messages per month. The first paid plan is $29 per month which gives you more features on the platform and more messages per month.

Intercom
Intercom is one of the best chatbot builders for your website out there.
In fact, other chatbot builders, such as ManyChat, Chatfuel and Voiceflow, use Intercom in their own chatbot platforms.
Besides creating chatbots (for your website and mobile apps), you can use Intercom to create complete product tours, making it a really good fit for software companies.
Pros
- Easy-to-use interface
- Assign custom fields/tags and create user segments
- Built-in AI & NLP
- Over 100 direct integrations
- Built-in live chat
- Many marketing possibilities

Tidio
If you are looking for a chatbot builder for your website that is less expensive than Intercom, Tidio is a really good alternative.
With Tidio, you can create a chatbot on your website and Facebook Messenger. But they are mainly focused on one channel: websites.
And I can tell you: They are really good on that channel, especially for such low prices.
Pros
- Easy-to-use interface
- Enough chatbot elements
- Add custom fields and tags
- Use conditions in your chatbot flows
- Built-in live chat
- Decent AI & NLP
- Reasonable pricing

Flow XO

Landbot
As the name already suggests, Landbot is a chatbot builder focused on creating chatbots for landing pages.
In fact, they provide one of the most unique chatbot experiences on websites.
But that’s not it.
Because with Landbot, you can also create a chatbot on WhatsApp, Slack and Facebook Messenger.
Pros
- Easy-to-use interface in which you make a chatbot with their Visual Flow Builder
- Support multiple channels: Website, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Slack
- Extremely good builder for chatbots on landing pages

- Minimal analytics
Pricing: Landbot has a free plan which comes with 100 chats per month and 30 blocks per chatbot. The first paid plan is $30 per month which comes with more features but doesn’t remove the Landbot branding (which is a little odd). When you want that removed, you need one plan higher (which is $80 a month).
If you want to learn more about Landbot, here is a review of it. Or you can just click on the button below to get started right away.
ActiveChat
With ActiveChat, you can create a chatbot for your website, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and SMS.
But they really stand out with their eCommerce feature, which you can use to let users pay for products inside the chatbot.
And besides that, they also added a live chat feature and intents, which makes them even better.
Pros
- Support multiple channels: Website, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and SMS
- Advanced website widget: widget in your own corporate identity and you can send messages based on the page the user is on
- One of the best eCommerce integrations I have ever seen in a chatbot builder (with Shopify & WooCommerce)
- Built-in live chat
- Dialogflow integration
Cons
- The interface has a little higher learning curve than other chatbot software
- Minimal analytics
Pricing: A 14-day trial that you can use to test their platform. The first paid plan is $33 per month (if you pay annually). This includes many of the features of the platform, 1,500 chatbot users per year and one live chat agent.
Here is a complete ActiveChat review or you can try it out for free using the button below.

Dialogflow
Dialogflow is the natural language understanding platform of Google.
And the best part of Dialogflow is their AI. It is so good, that a lot of other chatbot builders have integrations with Dialogflow, only for the AI part.
Pros
- One of the best AI in chatbot builders
- Integrations with many other chatbot builders
- They support a lot of channels: Website, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Google Assistant, Telegram, Slack and more.
- You can match your website widget with the branding of your website
- Great analytics
Cons
- Their platform is harder to understand for beginners
- No built-in live chat
Pricing: DialogFlow is free to use. It will only cost you money if you go over the 180 requests per minute or use Dialogflow CX (advanced version of Dialogflow).
